Kary Ya Fong Tsai
Kary is a post-doctoral researcher in the lab of Professor Richard Kolodner at the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, UC San Diego, USA. Her research focuses on studying the genetic and biochemical mechanisms of genetic recombination, DNA repair, and suppression of spontaneous mutations. She primarily uses Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a model system for her research.
Kary worked as a research assistant in our lab from February 2017 to August 2017. Her exceptional performance made her a role model among our colleagues. She left our lab because she received a scholarship from a university in the US.
We were very happy to see her on Nov. 17, 2023.
